Learn How the Network Is Breaking Down Barriers and Driving Economic Mobility for Women Across the City
Launched in spring 2023, The Network connects NYC women with industry leaders in high-growth fields like tech, life sciences, and the green economy. Through Digital Office Hours, Power Circles, and career events, participants gain access to direct mentorship and build critical professional networks. By September 2024, The Network reached over 80,000 people across NYC. Additionally, 1,800 women directly benefited from our programming, with 85 percent reporting their strategic networks expanded as a result—underscoring The Network’s critical role in advancing gender equity.

Despite making up nearly half of NYC’s workforce, women—especially BIPOC women—remain underrepresented in high-growth sectors.
The Network was created to dismantle these structural barriers head-on by building social capital and closing the network gap. Through mentorship, strategic connections, and industry-specific resources, The Network empowers women to advance, thrive, and lead in NYC.
